Josie Parsons has been appointed as the new Chief Executive at Local Space, taking up her new role on 1st October 2019. Josie’s strategic approach is about what we can do, not what we cannot do. She was previously Director of Finance for Local Space and so her can-do attitude has already had a very positive impact on how Local Space operates.
Josie said “I am very excited about bringing a fresh new vision to our residents. My ambition is to continue to increase our contribution to providing homes to those who have nowhere to live.”
Richard Reynolds, Chair at Local Space, said “we are very fortunate to have attracted a wide range of great candidates wanting to join us. Josie has already been a great asset to the Local Space team, and we are very much looking forward to her taking up her new role.”
Josie joined Local Space as an experienced Finance Director in 2018 to focus on finance and treasury management having previously held broader Resources Director roles. Her leadership has enabled Local Space to be the only housing association to be awarded the Standard and Poor credit rating of AA- for the third consecutive year.
